The Origins of GreenMan

If you ever watched "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia", then chances are you heard of Green Man. According to the show, it's this thing Charlie used to do back in high school during sporting events. He would get drunk, and dress up in a green lycra suit and start dancing. He was the unofficial school mascot nobody wanted.

According to show creator Rob McElhenney, Green Man is actually based on a real person. Rob had a high school buddy, who was on his first year of residency to becoming a doctor. They attended a Philadelphia Eagle's game, and after the game, his friend started walking around the parking lot in a green lycra suit taking pictures. Rob would eventually use it in his show. One of my favorite TV shows today, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. If you haven't watched it yet, I suggest you get going cuz this show is funny.

In this clip, the gang (Mac, Dennis, and Charlie) form a wrestling team called "The Birds of Prey". They come up with a what seemed at the time a clever entrance theme song, but ends up getting counted out.
