5 Cameos Big Bang Theory Should Get

I know I haven't featured any videos from Big Bang Theory, but I figured all you geeks would've known about this show already. If not, then I'll give you a little background info about the show. Here's a description according to wikipedia:

Set in Pasadena, California, the show is centered on five characters: two roommate Caltech geniuses, experimental physicist Leonard Hofstadter and theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper; their neighbor across the hall Penny, an attractive blonde waitress and aspiring actress; and Leonard's and Sheldon's equally geeky and socially awkward co-workers and friends Howard Wolowitz, an Aerospace engineer and a non-PhD from JPL, and Rajesh Koothrappali, a particle astrophysicist postdoc also working at Caltech. The geekiness and intellect of the four guys are contrasted for comic effect with Penny's social skills and common sense.

The show has had its fair share of cameos including Steve Wozniak (Co-Founder of Apple), George Takei (Star Trek: TOS), Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: TNG) Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Stan Lee (Marvel Comics Creator), and Summer Glau (Firefly, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles). As impressive as this list may be, it leaves a lot to be desired.

1. Leonard Nimoy
Sheldon is a huge Spock fan, and that couldn't have been more obvious on the Christmas episode. Penny gives Sheldon a napkin autographed by Leonard Nimoy, Sheldon is beyond ecstatic. But when he finds out Nimoy actually used the napkin, Sheldon goes apeshit. The show quoted Spock's famous "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one" in one of their earlier episodes.

2. Patrick Stewart

He's both Professor X and Captain Jean Luc Picard. According to Sheldon, he's the actor who holds the most People's Magazine "Sexiest Man of the Year" award. Which is the wrong answer.

3. William Shatner
Why not the Shatner? He's Captain Kirk for chrissakes. Also, Leonard thought the Shatner was the actor with the most Sexiest Man of the Year awards. Which is also the wrong answer.

4. Harrison Ford
He's Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Rick Deckard, James Ryan, and Dr. Richard Kimble. Also he was probably the most badasses of Presidents in Air Force One. The show recently did a tribute to Indiana Jones.

5. John de Lancie
Sheldon is really at his best when he has a villain. Will Wheaton proves that. I think John de Lancie as Q from Star Trek would be a great villain for Sheldon. Q is an ominiprescent being who thinks it knows everything, and Sheldon is a human who thinks he knows everything. They would totally clash heads.

A new episode comes on tonight on CBS.

  8. I like sitcoms, even a "smart" one like this. Any comedy that needs a studio audience only serves to pander to the lowest common denominator.
